Whether it's your first time here or you are an old treasured friend I am so excited that you are here! One thought that has always been dear to my heart is the idea of holding onto what is good... and remembering it often. Photos are so special to me because they have a way of bringing me back... back to the best parts of life. They tell the silly stories and the adoration between a daddy and his daughter, the warmth of hug from a couple in love, or the simple smile of a momma watching her kiddos. My blog is a little collection of all of those things and more... it's a place for me to share the stories of my clients, the reflections from my heart, and a bit more about our crazy little family. The Coenen Clan— Appleton, Wisconsin

There is something about a family session that makes my heart happy giddy! I love capturing their connections and telling the stories of the families that I capture… This family session was extra special – because it was my family. Every year since I was a little girl my dad has made it a priority for us to go and spend some quality time with our family in Wisconsin. And even though we may not have lived super close to be a part of the everyday life of the Coenen Family – we have created some incredible memories when we are back. I was so thankful to be able to share the Wisconsin adventures with my hubby and kiddos too! How special is it – that they get to spend that time with my Wisconsin family! It was fun to have 4 generations of Coenens all captured.

It is times like these when we all get together… that I also take a moment to miss Uncle Greg. (side note of celebration: Ryder was born on the anniversary of Uncle Greg’s death… October 29th and in honor of his life Ryder’s middle name is Gregory… A name that represents such strength and love. Uncle Greg left such an impression on our hearts… The other cute guy in this picture… Gregory was named after Uncle Greg too!)
